Kelly Christopher is a compliance consultant and Chief Compliance Officer with Beacon Compliance Consulting (“Beacon”). Beacon provides Chief Compliance Officer services to registered investment advisors, stand-alone trusts, and series trusts. Beacon provides compliance consulting services, including initial advisor registration and set-up, document creation, mock auditing, administration of the Orion Compliance Software application, as well as other compliance consulting services. Beacon also performs financial bookkeeping services for several advisory firms.
Ms. Christopher acts as the Deputy Compliance Officer for Gator Capital Management. Mrs. Christopher entered the financial regulatory compliance industry in 2017. Kelly has had considerable exposure to different types of registered investment advisors, mutual funds, ETFs, unit investment trusts, collective investment trusts, and private funds. This wide range of exposure has made Ms. Christopher very knowledgeable of investment advisor, investment company, and private fund rules and regulations. Kelly currently serves as the Chief Compliance Officer or Deputy Compliance Officer to SEC registered investment advisors, stand-alone trusts, and series trust, and is the AML Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer for a non-resident SEC registered investment advisor. Because Beacon’s clients are located in numerous states, Kelly has substantial experience working with the various SEC regional offices across the country. Kelly has been involved in numerous SEC examinations for Beacon’s clients and has acted in the lead capacity for several of those SEC examinations on behalf of those clients.
Prior to joining Beacon, Kelly worked for many years as a paralegal assisting with mass torts, catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, and product defect cases. Kelly received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.
